The Truth About Training

I would like to go over some of the benefits of having well-trained employees to carry out the mission of your organization. There is so much information available via the internet and access to that information is unlimited. Since your workers spend a lot of time traveling they could be more mobile using their laptops and cell phones for training. They will be able to chime in on webinars, video conferencing and web- based training.

New Hire Orientation is a prime example of insuring new hires are trained in the day-to-day operation of your company. Training is particularly important for new employee’s success. This can be conducted by someone within the company and should serve as a platform to get new employees up to speed with the processes of the company and address any skill gaps. (Chopra, B. 2015) Trained employees will be better equipped to handle customer’s needs. Upon completion, your business will run better, like a well-oiled machine.

Since there is so much technology being used for today’s training all organizations would like for their staff to have the knowledge, skills and abilities to stay engaged in the learning process. The amount of hands on and real life scenarios keep them involved in the process and familiar with the necessary steps to move forward. Being familiar with the various ways to use technology for training will show personnel how to be mobile. Learning can take place at any time of the day. All course information and resources are accessible at the click of the mouse. (Go2HR, 2015)

You could also use focused training which is dedicated to a particular job/ team. Information that each team member should know and practice. It gives the team a level of power and flexibility. For instance, when a team member is out of the office someone within their group could assist a stakeholder if there are questions or actions to be taken.

In closing, training is great benefit to you and your organization. Training allows employees to acquire new skills, sharpen existing ones, perform better, increase productivity and be better leaders (Chopra, B. 2015). I have added the audio below for this posting for your convenience below.

  3. I think new hire training is one of the most important aspects when it comes to employee training. The idea that you are molding your employees to be great from the start sets a tone that the employee training throughout the company is thorough and geared towards the advancement of the employees.
